Membership and Management of Colwall Players

Colwall Players is always happy to welcome new people into membership, and although the constitution says any person shall be nominated and approved before acceptance as a Member, this is normally a mere formality and the group is still of a size to operate as one large family.

People with an interest in any aspect of theatrical production ( eg acting, costume, make-up, backstage etc.) are most welcome. Even if you feel you have only limited skill in an area, but are keen to be involved and learn, please get in touch - tuition is available.

The full membership of Colwall Players entitles the holder take part in any of our productions and be covered by the company public liability insurance. Members are also entitled to attend any of the other regular social activities that are organised and to attend and vote at any General Meeting of the Players. A regular newsletter is sent to all Members to keep them in touch with current production progress and to notify them about social events and other things of interest. Currently there are no ticket concessions for Members.

Colwall Players also runs a Patrons scheme. Patrons are people who wish to support the Society in a tangible way, but do not wish to be actively involved in the mounting of the production (though some participate in things like FoH duties and running the bar). Patrons are welcome to attend the social events run for Members and they may attend any General Meeting, but are not entitled to vote. They also receive the Newsletters and have priority booking for any of our shows.

The current price for full membership is a modest £12.00.

The Society asks for a minimum donation of £12.00 for recognition as a Patron.
